Two Years Old

Happy New Year, my dear readers! The holidays may be over however I am still celebrating because… A STORM OF WORDS is two years old! It always surprises me how long I’ve been writing this blog. Even when I’ve temporarily taken a break, I still bring myself back to this space to write about my thoughts.

A big THANK YOU goes to all of you, my readers, who week by week find yourselves on this website to read what I’ve got to say.

When the clock struck midnight, I was relieved to say GOOD BYE 2020. 2020 was a difficult year for me for a number of reasons. I think we can all understand each other when we say this: 2020 was a shitshow from the beginning to the end. I think 2020 is proof that we can get through any tough situation and come out of it stronger than ever.

And now we have entered a new year. 2021 is going to be the year. I’m not exactly sure of what just yet but I’m hoping for something whatever it may be. 2021 is very unclear. I usually have an idea of what is coming next in my life yet 2021 is the first time in which I don’t know how it will turn out. I am honestly not worried about it (coming from an over-thinker) because I know that this is the year that everything will sort itself out.

Most importantly, I spent all of 2020 replaying my past in my mind and still feel that pain. 2021 is not going to be like that. I don’t want to let myself feel that way anymore. 2021 is the year to look ahead and not back. It doesn’t mean such things like corona virus are going to magically disappear. 2021 is simply the year that maybe, just maybe, we can change our lives around only by changing our perspective. Nothing grandeur but not simple either.

Therefore, I wish everyone a Happy New Year full of joy and happiness. We deserve it.

Keep reading and may this blog strive for many more years to go!
